Below is some information about the ACES swim club's upcoming Rookie Tryout Camps.

We are looking forward to our upcoming Rookie Tryout Camps this summer! Below is the timing and detailed information about the camps and the team. 

Rookie Camp/Tryout Schedules 10 & Under:

• Rookie Camp Session 1 Dates: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 15–17 Location: The Homestead North Pool - 6767 E Easter Ave, Centennial, CO 80112 Time: 10:30–11:30 AM
• Rookie Camp Session 2 Dates: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 22–24 Location: Cherry Creek Vista Pool - 11350 E Orchard Road, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 Time: 10:30–11:30 AM

Important: We would like the swimmers to attend all 3 days of the camp. They only need to attend 1 of the 2 sessions. Every swimmer must register for the Rookie/Tryout Camp.

10&Under families: REGISTER HERE

This is a team tryout — not all swimmers will be selected, but we will provide alternative options or add them to a waitlist if needed.

11 & Over:

Contact us to arrange a tryout based on age/group. We have different practice sites and expectations. Please refer to the 11&Over information for contact information.

Basic Team and Group Requirements

• 10 & Under: Must be able to swim all four strokes (Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle) without stopping:
  • 8 & Under: 25 yards of each stroke; Practice commitment: 2–4 times/week + 1 meet/month
  • 9–10: 50 yards of each stroke; Practice commitment: 3–5 times/week + 1 meet/month
• 11–14: Must swim 100 yards of each stroke without stopping. Depending on placement (Kings/Queens), expected to attend 4–5 practices/week & 1+ meet/month.
